Power Systems Consultant

Your profile

  • University degree in electrical power engineering (master or PhD degree preferred) with at least 46 years relevant professional experience.
  • Solid experience in steady state and dynamic network planning, network structure development, planning of C&P systems for electrical power systems and power electronics.
  • Solid knowledge of typical power system simulation programs (e.g. PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Good communication skills in business fluent in English.
  • Wellversed in AEMO and TNSP guidelines is essential.
  • Good presentation skills to represent Siemens Energy Grid Consulting to customers, working groups and in conferences.
  • Initiative, creativity, analytic and strategic thinking, teamwork, customer orientation and intercultural teams characterize your work approach

Your responsibilities

  • Responsibility for execution and project management of studies for analysis of electrical power systems, network planning and grid development
  • Carrying out and leading technical studies related to grid connection of our products, systems, and solutions
  • Supporting our business units in business development activities by presenting the capabilities of our products and solutions to existing and prospective clients
  • Coordinating and aligning engineers from different technical groups and virtual teams within a multicultural environment
  • Strengthening and growing contacts to our customers worldwide and managing customer relationships
  • Actively involved in preacquisition and sales activities to grow our business
  • Integration of power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, etc. into AC grids (conceptual studies, feasibility studies, tender studies, project execution)
  • Coordination of external partners and sub suppliers
  • Develop capability in one or more other specialized technical areas, such as earthing, protection, power quality, electromagnetic transients.
