Your purpose


Due to our continued growth and success, we're expanding our high performing Agribusiness team and we are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our Toowoomba team.

In this role you will be surrounded with high integrity banking professionals while managing and growing your own portfolio of Agribusiness customers with the support of the Senior Relationship Manager and Assistant Relationship Managers.

What you'll do

  • Maximise the visibility of the Suncorp Group brand throughout the region by actively and positively promoting the company.
  • Manage the Group's relationship with customers within your assigned portfolio support improvement and monitor relevant customer service / customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Assist the Suncorp Group's understanding of and meeting of holistic customer needs as well as lending needs (through genuine Connected Customer conversations). Collaborate across channels to meet customer needs.
  • Source and relationship manage quality new to Group business to grow our business banking lending portfolio.
  • Design, implement and monitor an annual agribusiness marketing and business plan to achieve desired portfolio growth.
  • Be responsible for the preparation of submissions and provide input into credit proposals by approving within DCA levels.
  • Monitor and analyse portfolio growth, sales, service, credit quality, MFI, ROI and expense results for the portfolio.
  • Ability to identify an acceptable level of lending risk, in line with Suncorp's Risk Appetite Statement, and to maximise profit from that transaction.
  • Build strong and genuine relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively to drive a 'one team' approach in support of achieving customer and business needs.
  • Provide development opportunities and mentorship to staff.

What you'll need to bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, economics, property economics or finance
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Agribusiness finance
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring growth and retention of a customer base
  • Established industry networks
  • The ability to travel as required
