Nutrien Financial (NF) is a division that supports the operations of our core retail business, Nutrien Ag Solutions (NAS). NF acts as a key enabler for sales and performance of NAS through empowering our customers to access flexible payment options that best suits their cash-flow. Strong customer appeal for our finance solutions has seen exceptional growth in the NF business.

We are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for an Assistant Relationship Manager to join our small but highly successful team in Queensland.

About the opportunity:

The key focus of the role is to support the management of an existing portfolio of finance facilities to deliver exceptional service and solutions for our customers. In this role you will have a high level of exposure to clients and play a key role within the Finance team. You will also gain great exposure to the credit and analytical elements of this team and the opportunity to communicate with customers daily.

More specifically, you will:

  • Assist the Relationship Manager to manage an existing portfolio of large finance transactions that enable retail sales to high value agribusiness customers
  • Maintain and enhance the credit risk profile and profitability of the loan portfolio
  • Complete periodic reviews for existing clients by preparing concise, accurate and timely credit submissions to ensure credit quality is maintained
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders including Sales, Credit and Support, promoting an in depth understanding of the customer loan portfolio to deliver business objectives
  • Be exposed to large and complex farm finance transactions that will ultimately boost your career and keep things interesting

What we'll love about you:

  • To be successful you will possess proven lending experience in the agriculture finance industry
  • You'll demonstrate financial smarts and bring impressive capability in customer portfolio support, credit risk assessment and writing – you'll need this to hit the ground running.
  • A natural communicator, you'll be comfortable dealing with customers and a range of stakeholders, including our retail network and Credit to guide them towards outcomes.
  • Naturally commercial, you will be relationship driven and focused on how you can give more value-add to your client portfolio through innovative ideas and your passion for agribusiness.
  • A team player and a decisive thinker, you'll work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers.
  • Your drive to succeed will help you tackle even the most challenging tasks with an open mind and energy
