Note, this role will be 5 days on site.

What you'll do:

As a HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all internal and external Health Safety Environment (HSE) requirements. You will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of the HSE Management System across various locations. Your role will involve managing incidents, injuries, near misses, as well as supporting site-level incident investigations. You will also assist in the rollout of HSE projects and critical risk reduction plans. Your ability to verify compliance against various legislations, standards, codes, along with your knack for performing routine inspections will be crucial in this role.

  • Direct the development and implementation of the company's HSE Management System within supported locations
  • Ensure accurate and prompt incident/event/hazard reporting and investigation
  • Manage incidents, injuries and near misses effectively
  • Support site-level incident investigations to drive improvements and increase our HSE capacity
  • Support the rollout of HSE projects and critical risk reduction plans
  • Verify compliance against national/state/local legislation, industry codes, Australian Standards, and ISO
  • Perform routine and ad hoc HSE inspections and observations
  • Consolidate lead and lag indicators for each site to ensure accurate reporting against business KPIs
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of HSE training respective to the sites supported
  • Report into the National HSE Manager role and work 5 days a week on site

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the HSE Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in a multi-site or consultative HSE role, ideally within the manufacturing industry or an equivalent high-risk industry. You will hold qualifications in OHS and Environmental discipline (Certificate IV/Diploma or above), with a minimum of a Diploma, Bachelor's or Post-Graduate degree in a relevant field. Your proven track record of developing, implementing, and evaluating aspects of a corporate HSE Management System will be essential to your success in this role. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as is your ability to make agile decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in the use of MS Office 365 Suite, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams is also required.

  • Experience in a multi-site or consultative HSE role ideally with experience in the manufacturing industry or equivalent high-risk industry
