About the Role:

The Project Manager creates an important link between the estimating and project delivery activities of the Group. The role of Project Manager is responsible for project delivery activities, from inception, to completion of the defect's liability period. The Project Manager must ensure a maximum amount of efficiency and throughput, whilst maintaining vigilance on safety, the construction program, productivity and budget. The Project Manager will work closely with site staff, senior management and the client to achieve these objectives, and is responsible for ensuring minimum risk and maximum profit on each project. It is a challenging but rewarding position.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Always Comply with HSE/QA legislation
  • Ensure all Company management systems are implemented, managed and maintained and all targets met
  • Provide and maintain Project Cost Reports (we use JobPac as our ERP)
  • Manage 'Aconex Field checklists', tasks and defects
  • Manage 3DSS and HammerTech site safety induction documentation and procedures
  • Implement all possible innovations that can reduce costs where possible that are within contractual boundaries whilst maintaining Planet's quality standard.
  • Variation management in accordance with contract documentation and procedures. Proactive approach taken to identifying and documenting variations.
  • Review and approve all design principles, documentation and submissions prior site installation commencing.
  • Status site progress, materials delivered to site and accurately document Progress Claim percentages prior to monthly submission.

Core Competencies

  • At least 3 years' experience in project management
  • Ability to deal with pressure, meet deadlines and enjoy challenges
  • High self-esteem, assertiveness, influential, motivated, with empowering communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to work with systematic operating systems and procedures with attention to detail
  • Ability to understand hydraulic related drawings, specifications and management systems
  • Proactive, positive attitude, competitive, self-disciplined with commercial flexibility
  • Able to make calculated decisions maintaining focus on key objectives
  • Strong commitment to achieving organisational goals
  • Ability to understand the financial aspects of projects including estimating
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Above & Beyond interpersonal skills & work ethic
