Full Job Description

The Role and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the WH&S Manager, you will maintain, co-ordinate and provide support for the Queensland region of a strong national company of 900 employees

This will involve:

  • Improving the culture of quality throughout the business
  • Ensuring safe and correct work practices at all times
  • Ensuring safe equipment and plant is provided and maintained
  • Increasing site productivity through the implementation of WHS and QA procedures
  • Engaging with personnel across all levels of the business to prioritise GMS activities
  • Maintaining and improving Project Web, Aconex and site documentation control
  • Assisting Project Managers to plan for quality, safety and environmental outcomes on
projects

  • Assisting with the implementation of Procore on all projects
  • Ensuring efficient site material handling and logistics
  • Assisting the WHS Manager in ensuring Subcontractors are compliant in the companies Rapid Induct System
  • Streamlining work processes and increasing productivity
  • Conducting incident investigations and assisting with Return to Work processes
  • Preparing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and assist others in creating SWMS

What you require:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Construction, Building or Building Services Industry
  • Certification and/or training in all relevant WHS Safety and award Courses and Return To Work Training whilst not essential, would be desirable
