The Pharmacy Guild represents over 6,000 community pharmacies and is dedicated to advancing the profession through advocacy, policy and governance.

In keeping with the Guilds' strategy, an exciting opportunity presents for an experienced individual to join the team in Victoria as Manager, Policy and Media.

Reporting to the Branch Director, you will be responsible for driving the Guild's public policy agenda, including advocacy and to support the media and communications team in the best interests of members, operations and performance in accordance with the Guilds' strategic plan and constitution.

Specifically, you will be responsible for monitoring Victorian legislation and policy developments, provide recommendations on policy strategy, build and enhance the Guild's professional network across Victorian government (bipartisan) and media, draft submissions, advise on advocacy campaigns and lead government relations.

Tertiary qualified in Public Policy, Commerce, Communications and / or related discipline, you will ideally have gained experience in a member-based organisation and / or relevant public sector department or media related organisation.

You will have a track record in successfully advocating for stakeholder groups / members and in advising on public policy.

You will be adept at maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as / government departments / bureaucrats, media and member groups.

You will be a strong leader with outstanding communication skills and an ability to delegate effectively to maximize potential.
A strong commercial acumen and a passion for customer experience and community will set you apart.
