Role:


The Communications and Policy Officer is a new position at our college providing advice and administrative services to college programs and overseeing quality assurance / compliance processes as required by LNSC College Council and the Department of Education and Training.

The position has come about following the restructure of operational, compliance and facilities areas of the college, and college growth.


The role also has a creative promotions aspect with oversight of the college website, newsletter, publicity, social media accounts, and further development of a families' group.


The role will contribute strongly to the cultural development of the college and include direct provision of assistance and advice to students, families and college staff as required.

The role will work with our wonderful 'front of house' team and include reception duties.


Therefore, we seek a unique individual with high-level knowledge and experience that blends strong awareness of DET policies, the needs of secondary students, Education State reforms (such as in the areas of quality assurance, school compliance and the mental health menu), education media, and the features of progressive student-centred education.


The position will support our college's continuing growth and reputation as a highly innovative and modern school focussed upon our community's expectations of exceptional opportunity and student growth in all areas of their lives and in delivery of Education State reforms with a high level of fidelity.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and / media / policy services will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of college compliance in areas such as child safe standards and health
  • Management of website, publicity and promotion, including social media accounts
  • Reception duties
  • PSD and Inclusion administration assisting the Director of Inclusion
  • Student supervision as may be required
  • Coordination of Families' group
  • Staff wellbeing programs
  • Executive Assistance to Principal Class
  • Other duties as required by the Principal
