With a significant goldrush history on an ancient Traditional Country, the City of Ballarat has partnered with the City of Greater Bendigo to lead a bid on behalf of 13+ local governments and in partnership with the Victorian Government to secure World Heritage listing of Australia's Victorian Goldfields.


The timeframes and deliverables for the bid are at a point where an additional resource is needed to support the team in managing the complex stakeholder relationships and associated communications and advocacy activity as it progresses.

This will be the primary function of this role.

The Role:


Reporting to the World Heritage and Regional Development Lead, this new role will support the progression of the World Heritage bid by providing a high level of stakeholder management, engagement, advocacy, and communications support.

You will collaborate with a team of highly motivated and diverse stakeholders, partners, and regional communities to build support for and awareness of the World Heritage bid and the successful delivery of associated projects.

About You:

You will have:
- successful communications, marketing and media and stakeholder management skills.
- project management experience.
- strong written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- technical skills in electronic devices and e-media.
- knowledge and understanding of the political environment of the bid.

Experience working with First Nations peoples is preferable.
