The Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for internal communications to support day-to-day business information sharing within APAC.

The function provides expert support to the business through the provision of best practice internal communication insights; experience in implementing effective internal communication, change communication and employee engagement campaigns; and high-quality advice.

With the aviation and travel sector booming, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal communications development and execution in written & visual form aimed at capturing all moments of magic across the Airport and teams.
  • Editoratlarge for all formal internal communications channels across the business
  • Project management planning across a calendar year to optimise internal campaigns
  • Build strong and successful working relationships internally
  • Manage our internal communications platforms (i.e. Workplace by Meta, SharePoint)
  • Evaluating and monitoring outcomes using APAC's Communications Evaluation Framework to drive continuous improvement
  • Qualifications in communications, publishing or journalism
  • Demonstrated work experience in internal communications or corporate affairs
  • Experienced in business and developing content that helps build a connected, engaged internal community with a positive culture
  • Outstanding writer and editor who can synthesise complex concepts into clear, accessible, relevant language
  • Motivation and experience in process improvements and stakeholder management preferably in complex operating environments
