THE OPPORTUNITY


The Planning and Research Officer is responsible for undertaking evidence-based research on changing skill needs and jobs in demand, and drawing insights to inform planning and strategy development related to TAFE NSW training delivery.

The position is also responsible for providing administrative and project support within the team, including coordinating planning workshops, collating consultation feedback, managing the maintenance and organisation of research sources, and supporting the integration and alignment of research and planning activities within the team.


This role will preferably be based at our Ultimo campus, however we also have flexibility across our Sydney metropolitan, Wollongong and Newcastle campuses.


The ideal applicant will also be adaptable and willing to travel to various campus locations on an occasional basis to attend meetings and workshops for business requirements.


ABOUT YOU


You'll possess strong capabilities in undertaking research and providing strategic advice based on analysis of multiple sources to support planning or decision making.

You will also have outstanding organisational capabilities and well-developed communication skills, including excellent writing, coordination and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritise workload and provide a range of executive or administrative support services to assist business functions will also be required.


In addition, you will have the following:

  • A Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience relevant to the role.
