As representative of the Power Technique Business Area, you will work together with the local IT teams to realize the Power Technique business area IT strategy within the acquired organization.


You will act as a liaison manager for local management and help them to convert their activities/ambitions into the Atlas Copco ecosystem (PT-IT, divisional, Group IT and group programs), making maximum use of corporate and BA standards and policies in the execution and transition of the various initiatives that are planned / desired by the local organization.


You act as a spider in the web between the local management team, the integration teams, divisional interests, PT-IT and Group IT.

You work closely together with Sykes management to ensure operations of the current solutions, while adapting the roadmaps of the various solutions to the Atlas Copco standards and processes.


This assignment focusses on the Sykes organization, with HQ located in Cardiff / Newcastle (Australia). The Sykes organization also has entities in Dubai and the US, which are also in scope of this assignment.

THE MISSION (project specific)


Together with the Power and Flow division and the Sykes Management Team, the following needs have been identified in order to successfully integrate the Sykes activities and programs into the Atlas Copco ecosystem.

Group IT integration. The various Sykes locations will be converted into the Atlas Copco standards, providing workplace, productivity and network environment for the Sykes organization. This role takes on the coordination between the Sykes organization and the region Group IT organization for the scoping, implementation and roll-out of the various Group IT standards and solutions.

Communication and roadmap for the existing business solutions. For all IT projects, liaison needs to be made with the overall (PT-IT / Group IT) approach and offering, especially on infrastructure, operations, security and data management.


As Sykes solutions and infrastructure are currently managed under a TSA by the Allight organization, close follow-up on the migration track into the Atlas Copco environment is required.

Manage the defined IT integration programs in conjunction with PT-IT and Group IT:

  • ERP migration to Infor/M3 cloud. Coordination for the involvement of key users, process validation, roll-out, communication and change management in the various phases of the ERP migration program. Status and risk reporting to divisional management.
  • Be the local proxy for the planned PT-IT projects (PowerBI conversion / MS Dynamics rollout) for the PT-IT organization
  • Followup on evolving ERP functionalities and processes once the migration is completed, being the spider in the web between the Sykes organization, the BA IT organization (PT-IT), the ERP cloud solution provider and the business key users.
  • SPOC for Sykes for any question, concerns or requests they might have, being a proxy between the (complex) Atlas Copco organization and the Sykes organization?
  • Change mgmt. and followup on the IT infrastructure / migration rollout at the various Sykes locations (Group IT standards implementation), in the domain of workplace, connectivity, networking, and O365

Role description:

  • You join forces with Sykes management to:
  • Build a strong functional knowledge of the different IT systems used in the target entities. You understand how they are integrated, as well as the technology and infrastructure required to run them.
  • Extend the existing project / program governance towards the division and towards PT-IT, with the guiding principles of portfolio management and TCO.
  • Link/review existing Sykes and security /data privacy reporting processes to the Business Area and Group standards, and connect with the Security Officer and Data Privacy Officer
  • You act as liaison between the ambitions and plans of the Sykes IT team and the Atlas Copco teams ((PT-IT, divisional, group IT, Group IT and group programs), in order to align to maximum extent. (current state, intermediate state, endstate)
  • You ensure that all major ICT projects and initiatives fit in the overall PT-IT technology landscape, whilst ensuring continuity, security, data privacy and maintainability. You link to the Foundation services within PT-IT to leverage on the standards on Security, Architectur
