Our client, a renowned legal firm, is one of Queensland's leading practices in criminal law and workplace law. They represent both privately funded and institutional clients, consistently delivering excellence in client service and legal representation. Their workplace law practice includes representing both employers and employees, handling workplace investigations, and managing occupational discipline matters across various sectors such as law enforcement, legal, health, and public sectors.

About the role:

Our client is seeking a lawyer with 3+ years PAE to join their esteemed workplace law team. Candidates with experience in workplace law and/or disciplinary/regulatory law are encouraged to apply. Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in workplace or related legal fields
  • Proven skills in managing workplace and/or regulatory files
  • Excellent writing, communication, and professional confidence
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines
  • Valid driver's licence

Other skills required:

  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive and enthusiastic approach

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality advice and representation to workplace law clients on a broad range of matters
  • Act in various disciplinary and regulatory proceedings
  • Appear as a solicitor-advocate in all Queensland courts and tribunals, including Fair Work, Industrial Relations, Human Rights Commissions, and QCAT
  • Instruct counsel in superior court proceedings
