WFH/OfficeOne of Australia's largest government departments is seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Officer to join their team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting successful project delivery by providing a blend of operational and administrative expertise.


Key Accountabilities

  • Support project execution by monitoring plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Maintain uptodate project documentation, ensuring compliance with agreed methodologies and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Director and team, including coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and managing schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between team members and stakeholders, communicating project updates and addressing implementation challenges.
  • Anticipate and prioritise critical issues requiring attention, ensuring timely resolution and support for the Manager and team.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset by collaborating internally and externally to identify and implement efficient work practices that drive optimal outcomes.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in project management or a related field.
  • Experience in the government sector is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
