We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.

About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform and maintain customer care work practices in receipt of customer, doctor & patient enquiries.
  • Set up and manage case files as appropriate to the testing requested in a timely and efficient manner according to documented procedures
  • Assist with various customer care tasks with the focus being on teamwork
  • Answer phones and triage calls for distribution to appropriate team members
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy legislation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Manage time effectively and prioritise work within established routines, methods, and procedures
  • Work cooperatively as part of the customer care team and wider Genomic Diagnostics team

About you

  • Ability to problem solve would be an advantage
  • Proficient computer skills, excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with medical terminology would be an advantage
  • Possess sound communication skills and good customer care
