Your new role:


The Leisure Service Officer assists in the efficient and effective planning and operation of Council's sporting reserve facilities including liaison with sporting and leisure clubs and the general community.

The position supports the development and implementation of leisure policies and strategic plans to guide Council with the delivery of sporting facilities and services.

This is a Band 5 classified role, remuneration will be $75, $88, depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will need to thrive:

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Experience in liaising effectively with sport, leisure and recreation groups and the community
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Experience in presenting to group situations
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer service to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management, preferably relating to community sports infrastructure projects
  • Experience in managing competing priorities
  • Values and behaviours aligned to those of Knox City Council
  • Proven experience in administration and time management
  • Ability to display initiative and work independently and as part of a team
