About the Position:


You will report to the Senior Recreation Project Officer and Coordinator Recreation Services, working closely with our other Recreation Project Support Officer and Council's Capital Works Team.


You will service manage minor and major capital works facility renewals, sports ground lighting, oval and pavilion redevelopments, as well as reserve and club capital works requests.

The role enables the successful delivery of Active Monash infrastructure projects through effective administration and project management.

You must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in sports and recreation project designs and facility standards ensuring these are detailed and delivered within the project.

Experience is also required in grant writing, grant acquittals, capital bids, business cases, design briefs and project openings.

The main responsibilities are but not limited to:
Support Recreation Services capital project planning and design projects

Support the development and ongoing management of the Recreation Services Capital Works Prioritisation Framework.

Support the Service Management of all Recreation Services capital works projects.

Support the development of project briefs, business cases, tender elevations as well as sit on elevation panels.

About you:

Previous experience in local government, recreation, leisure, sport, customer service and/or administration.

A commitment to consistently deliver high quality customer service.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to problem solve and resolve complaints or complex tasks.

Ability to manage time, plan and meet deadlines and targets.

Hold a current Vicotria driver's licence, and can drive to sites and reserves for inspections;
Hold an Employee Working with Children's Check, or can obtain one before being offered the role;
Obtain a Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
