Yarraville Community Centre (YCC) is a dynamic community hub catering to the diverse needs of Maribyrnong's local and wider community. As the CEO, you will oversee the organization's human, financial, and physical resources to maximize educational, recreational, and community development opportunities. This involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient functioning and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines, as well as cultivating partnerships and strategic alliances with community groups.


Collaborating with the current leadership team and a supportive Board, your responsibilities will include advancing the organization's governance and strategic direction while maintaining alignment with YCC's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and ensure effective program delivery, compliance, and contract outcomes.
- Establish strong relationships with community stakeholders and oversee grant and tender applications.
- Manage the organization's budget and resources transparently and accountably.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement among staff and volunteers.
- Advocate for community well-being, implement the Strategic Plan, and lead initiatives with the Executive Team and CoM.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, education, Community Development, or a related field.

- Demonstrated leadership experience in a community-based organization, with a proven ability to drive strategic planning and organizational growth.

- Proficiency in non-profit governance, and financial management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker with the capability to translate vision into actionable goals and initiatives.
- Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a passion for serving marginalized communities.
- Knowledge of local social services, community development, education, and public policy issues is an advantage.
