ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually stunning designs that effectively communicate our brand message to our target audience. You will oversee a graphic design team and together you’ll conceptualise, execute and produce strategic creative work covering everything from magazine design and broadcast media to marketing materials and digital media. Collaborating closely with the creative, marketing and digital teams on design briefs, photo shoots and creative concepts.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and execute design concepts for a variety of print, broadcast and digital media, including social media graphics, email marketing, magazine layouts, website design, broadcast graphics and advertising campaigns.
  • Create compelling and visually appealing designs that communicate our brand message and enhance the user experience.
  • Oversee the day to day running of the design department.
  • Work collaboratively with other designers and wider teams such as marketing and photographers on shoots, styling and seasonal look books
  • Review design from other designers, provide feedback and approve work
  • Be a positive role model to the design team, by demonstrating skills and providing mentorship and support.
  • Articulate vision, ideas and objectives to Creative Director and team.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials by following brand guidelines and standards.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced live television environment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years' experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your exceptional work across print and digital.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to co-ordinate design department workflow.
  • An excellent understanding of design aesthetics, strategic design, typography, colour theory, and composition.
  • Strong Experience in Catalogue/Magazine Design.
  • Experience in Digital Design (web pages, eDM, social media).
  • A solid understanding of the design process from concept to final deliverables.
  • The ability to follow brand guidelines, style guides and ensure all messaging is in line with brand strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and techniques.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects is a bonus but not essential.
  • Photography experience favourable but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a highly fast paced, lively and exciting television environment.
  • A passion for design and retail with new and fresh ideas.
