The Global Security team is committed to safeguarding all assets, with a primary focus on our most valuable asset - our people. The team upholds this mission by employing a data-driven and risk-based approach to bolster Security Operations and develop processes to ensure the safety of our Clients.

As the Security Specialist for Australia and New Zealand, you will:

  • Take charge of ensuring the security of individuals, properties, and assets across the region.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with local business partners to implement globally aligned projects.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of security processes and initiatives within the region.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Security Manager.
  • Identify and evaluate imminent threats that could jeopardize staff, assets, and operations in the APAC region.
  • Provide senior management with pertinent information to facilitate prompt, well-informed decisions during critical events.
  • Coordinate security operations for all personnel and sites in cities across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Manage responses and incident handling to address potential threats to company personnel, assets, and operations.
  • Educate stakeholders on security principles and best practices.
  • Execute the physical security strategy in the region in alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish processes and metrics leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Cultivate positive relationships and effective communication with peers in the regional business sector.
  • Develop security awareness and educational initiatives and materials.

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a security operations or management capacity.
  • Recent hands-on experience within the region (mandatory).
  • A creative problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Keen attention to detail in written and verbal correspondence.
  • Ability to navigate security challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • Adaptability to scale with the business and thrive in a rapidly evolving setting.
  • Experience in overseeing contract security services.
  • A robust professional network of security contacts in the region.
  • Capability to foster a culture built on trust, honesty, and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Bachelor's degree, military, or law enforcement background.
