About the Role
As a Business Development Manager in our Diversified Industries team, you'll play a key role in helping to acquire, grow and retain a quality portfolio of customers. Your role is to partner with the Relationship Manager to support all aspects of customer service, including identifying opportunities, writing and managing credit applications, loan document preparation execution and fulfilment, compliance & KYC, updating systems, and generally making the customer's experience with ANZ the best it can be.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Relationship Manager in running a portfolio of agricultural customers.
- Help with deal origination, credit submissions, loan documentation, fulfilment, execution, and post deal maintenance.
- Manage compliance, KYC, annual reporting & reviews, transaction banking, asset finance and day to day customer queries.
- Act in the best interest of the customer and apply a customer-centric approach.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of customer business and financial needs.
- Be comfortable in serving as the customer's secondary contact point and responding to customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customers' needs, engaging specialist teams when required.
Requirements
- Relevant banking experience and tertiary qualification preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
- Experience in customer management and following processes and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, identify key business drivers, mitigate key risks, and make recommendations where appropriate.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of the structuring of security arrangements.
- Sound credit skills with the ability to present a well-motivated risk assessment and business proposition.
- Background in developing a network of connections both within the Bank and external to the Bank.
