Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for managing payroll operations for our organization's employees across the Asia-Pacific region. The APAC Payroll Manager will ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the payroll processes for multiple countries in the APAC region.
  • Ensure timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, deductions, and other compensation components.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate payroll data and records for all employees.
  • Stay up to date with local labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements in each country of operation.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and complete employee data for payroll processing.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to identify and resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and analysis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring their adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient payroll systems and processes.
  • Train and educate employees on payroll policies, procedures, and self-service tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll information.

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in the APAC region.
  • In-depth knowledge of APAC payroll regulations and local labor laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of payroll systems and software.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certification in payroll management (optional).
