Payroll Officer to join our team in a

casual,

fully remote capacity. If you have a strong background in payroll and enjoy working independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the external payroll provider, who is responsible for processing the pays, superannuation and tax, and ensure accurate and timely payroll management.
  • Review and validate payroll information provided by the external provider, identifying and rectifying any errors or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit reports to external salary sacrifice company, including internal payroll comparisons and bank file compilation for approvals.
  • Support endofmonth reconciliations, such as rollover hours and additional payment processing, in collaboration with the Finance Team Leader.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant payroll regulations, internal policies, and employment contracts.
  • Keep uptodate with changes in payroll legislation and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with external agency payroll systems, and the ability to review and validate processed data.
  • A detailoriented mindset with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency in generating accurate payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award is highly desirable.
