About Company
Our leading airline client is looking for a Technical Services Engineer responsible for enhancing the technical condition of aircraft and components relative to their area of specialization (Airframes or Avionics), to meet regulatory, reliability, and customer requirements.
Original equipment manufacturer (OEM), internal/external customer Technical Liaison
Technical support for Fleet Reliability Monitoring and Improvement in cooperation with Performance and Reliability Engineer
Product Improvement and Operating Cost Reduction
Major Component & Modification Planning in cooperation with the Planning team along with technical Support to the maintenance division
Technical Service and repair station Quality, Compliance & Performance, Compliance with Corporate and Divisions Service Standards, and also Comply with Safety in the workplace
Negotiation with suppliers of product improvement options/modifications
Develop and submit for approval changes to the procedure manuals and release of Airworthiness Standing Orders, as required.
Identification & validation of problematic systems or components through analysis of available data in cooperation with the Performance and Reliability Engineer.
Reduction of systems and component operating costs through revision of (a) Maintenance / Repair / Overhaul Practices (b) Maintenance Program (c) Operating Practices
Provide technical input for approval of component repair cost estimates.
Critical Success Factors/Key Essential Skills
1. Ability to translate instructions for continued airworthiness into Engineering instructions which can be incorporated into the maintenance information system.
2. Relationship with the OEMs to ensure cost-effective repairs and ICA's are issued.
3. Understanding of transport category aircraft certification and modification requirements to request and evaluate received Part 21M design data.
Collection & Analysis of data to carry out component and system reliability analysis
Understanding & Application of the Customer-Supplier relationship for internal and external customers/ suppliers
Detailed knowledge of DHC 8 Technical Manual suite * Detailed knowledge of DHC 8 Maintenance Program
Proven track record in system troubleshooting
