About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a National Technical Services & Capital Investment Manager, a newly established position at Knight Frank Australia.

In this role within the National Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the short-term operations and long-term asset performance of a significant national retail portfolio comprising about 100 shopping centers for our client, Region Group.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in managing portfolio operations, procuring services, and driving strategic initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting the National Operations Manager and the wider Operations team
  • Implementing sustainability and ESG initiatives to achieve set goals
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, engineering, risk, and compliance matters
  • Managing the Capital Maintenance Expenditure Program financially
  • Developing and updating Capital Works Program policies and guidelines
  • Collaborating on waste and soft-services procurement strategies
  • Motivating the team to maintain a positive team culture

  • Extensive experience in portfolio operations and procurement management
  • Strong background in Retail and Property accounting
  • Exposure to property redevelopment, especially in managing shopping center assets
  • Wide network and understanding of the Australian commercial property industry
  • Profound knowledge of commercial property and asset management principles
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Effective leadership skills with a focus on team development
