Reporting to the Senior Energy Solutions Sales Manager, the Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for establishing and implementing sales tools, systems, processes, and collateral which enable the Energy Solutions Sales team to meet its immediate sales objectives and work to reduce the Cost to Acquire (the total cost incurred to acquire a new Customer) over time, ultimately establishing long term competitive advantage.


The Sales Operations Analyst is a critical role within the Energy Solutions Sales Team and will use data to generate sales reports that inform sales strategy and decision making across the Energy Solutions Sales Team.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop a detailed understanding of Energy Solutions Customer Value Proposition, market position, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Establish and maintain sales tools, systems, processes, and collateral including Proposal Generation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Integrated Management System (IMS), Sales Database
  • Evaluate sales training needs and establish a sales training program to ensure that sales personnel understand how to use sales tools, systems, and processes
  • Establish and maintain sales reporting to inform sales strategy and decision making across the Energy Solutions Sales Team
  • Engage with Engineering, Delivery, Asset Management and Commercial Advisory to collect feedback and optimize sales process
  • Provide day to day support to the Energy Solutions Sales team as required to meet immediate sales objectives including assisting with proposal generation and populating returnable schedules
  • Establish a process of continuous improvement which reduces the Cost to Acquire (the total cost incurred to acquire a new Customer) over time and establishes long term competitive advantage.
About You

What you'll bring to the table

  • Business and / or other relevant degree
  • Ability to perform under significant time and pressure
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and can make decisions with limited information
  • Extensive experience managing teams in a high performing sales environment
  • Ability to tailor your communication style to a diverse set of stakeholders with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the products and services on offer within the Energy Solutions Marketplace.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, within and outside AGL, to drive business performance by communicating, networking, and influencing effectively.
  • Excellent commercial judgment and strong planning skills. You anticipate and solve possible customer (as well as technical) issues in advance.
