We are seeking a Sales & Infrastructure Trade Optimisation to lead and optimise our sales strategies and infrastructure operations. This role is crucial for shaping and executing our global sales initiatives and ensuring the efficient management of our infrastructure to support our continued growth and success.

About The Role

Reporting to the VP Sales and Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in managing sale contracts and customer relationships in India and other designated markets, ensuring all marketing operations are conducted safely and effectively. Additionally, this role will oversee and optimise infrastructure contracts and commercial arrangements with supply chain partners.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the VP Sales and Marketing in executing all marketing operational functions and forming sales and trading strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and developments to stay informed, manage long-term sales contracts with existing customers, and negotiate and execute spot sales to capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Seek out and create opportunities to enhance trade efficiency and profitability by effectively utilising existing infrastructure and integrating third-party coal resources into the supply chain.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers, external publications, and producers in the Blackwater corridor, and represent Coronado in industry forums.
  • Manage and optimise infrastructure contracts to achieve production objectives and maximise commercial benefits.

About You

Key to your success will be your:

  • Strong decision-making skills in high-stakes situations requiring timely, accurate judgements.
  • Ability to evaluate complex scenarios, weigh outcomes, and make decisions that maximise value and mitigate risks.
  • Extensive understanding of metallurgical coal markets, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and competitive landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of coal quality parameters and their impact on value in use for informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes in the coal industry, particularly rail and port operations.
  • Experience in the coal industry or a related sector, including roles in market analysis, sales, supply chain management, and strategic planning.
