ABOUT THE ROLE
NSW Ambulance is seeking to fill the position of Manager Capital Assets on a permanent full-time basis.

The Manager Capital Assets is primarily accountable for the maintenance and reporting of high-quality information regarding assets within NSW Ambulance.

This will require the incumbent to review, update and monitor processes to manage all data relating to assets within the financial management information system.

This role is also accountable for management of all Capital budgets, liaising closely with the delegated budget holders and Project Managers to ensure accurate accounts and projections for these projects.

The incumbent also manages the drawing of capital cash, ensuring the fund is not overdrawn.


The incumbent will be required to liaise with the wider organisation, finance team and other external agencies to ensure that accurate timely information is provided to assist decision making.

This will require excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret financial information to non-financially literate stakeholders.


The position holder will liaise with counterparts in the finance business partnering, revenue and financial accounting teams in order to provide excellent information to the Executive leadership team.

ABOUT YOU

  • A full membership of a recognised accounting body (CA or CPA) with advanced understanding of general accounting standards and extensive experience in capital budget / asset accounting in a large Organisation.
  • Experience using large finance systems and understanding of the subledger interaction to general ledger.
  • Someone who can communicate and interact effectively with staff, managers and external stakeholders at a high level.
  • Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support and develop
