A Production Manager may have specialist skills as a production process employee in Plastic Recycling

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment including 2 years as a Leading Hand.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal.
  • Plastics Industry experience plus minimum of two (2) years experience in Rotomoulding machines.
  • A mechanical aptitude with an emphasis on accuracy and precision.
  • The ability to work autonomously or under limited supervision.
  • Coordinates and provides direction to production / process employees.
  • Working with the planned schedule ensures all materials and tooling are supplied to work areas so as to ensure the efficient utilisation of machines, labour and equipment.
  • Arranges maintenance programs in conjunction with maintenance personnel and planned work schedules.
  • Plan and design tasks, job and procedures to achieve outcomes safely and to desired standards.
  • Reporting of machine downtime.
  • Communicates production requirements, outcomes, goals to all reporting employees.
  • Actively encourages and facilitates the participation of individuals in the organisation of work, quality, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) / HACCP, OHS and environmental requirements, and setting and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Undertaking training to continuously update skills to meet changing manufacturing processes.
  • Carrying out additional tasks within the scope of skills held such as:
  • Relieving operators & material handlers as necessary.
  • Identifying rejected material.
  • Authorised to stop production due to any quality, safety or environment concerns
