ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

At BAT, our Marketing Planning Executive plays an important role in supporting key business decisions and business planning processes through clear understanding of industry relevant macro and micro economic variables and their impact on market dynamics.


This role is responsible for providing in depth insights and foresights using internal and external sources to ensure accurate demand forecasting to meet business objectives.


WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Supporting the integrated business planning cycle by managing and developing demand forecasts through analysis of macro & socioeconomic variables, consumer and category dynamics, industry, and business performance trends.
  • Supporting scenario planning and assessment of demand volumes in light of predicted future changes in the macroeconomic environment, regulations, category or consumer shifts, or competitive landscape.
  • Analyzing and interpreting category trends, company and competitor performance to produce actionable and strategic business insights and foresights. Monitoring and evaluating business performance against forecast and providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identifying and proposing improvements in current processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of demand planning, forecasting accuracy, and business performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong cross functional working relationships to support smooth execution of the marketing planning cycle.

CRUCIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A tertiary degree in a field such as Marketing, Business, & Commercial.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a commercial or economic analyst type role.
  • Advanced knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and tools
  • Solid analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Structured approach to work with high levels of accuracy.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS
You will receive a competitive remuneration package between AUD $90,000 - AUD $100,000.
