Are you passionate about planning and wish to be part of NSW Reconstruction Authority?
As a Manager Land Use Planning, you will lead a team and provide advice, liaise with local and state governments, developers and community stakeholders, ensuring to give expert advice to improve the effectiveness of the statutory planning framework.
This is an influential role that is leading the way NSW exercises the use of land use powers and setting the authorising environment for new policies.
You will play an integral role in setting the groundwork for how communities understand hazard risk and how it relates to land and land use planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of people in NSW communities, by shaping policies and practices that enhance their safety and well-being in the face of disasters.
What we're looking for
- Proactively identifying emerging issues within statutory planning proposals that could impact disaster management efforts.
- Strategically partner with and influence the Australian Government, state and local government agencies to identify whole of government or precinct based statutory planning issues and to identify options and influence outcomes that advance the Authority's goals.
- Ideally you will have a background in planning, policy, engineering, architecture or a related field.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government.
When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
