About the Role:

Key Responsibilities**:

  • Monitor student attendance records and follow up on unexplained absences.
  • Implement strategies to improve attendance rates and reduce truancy.
  • Work closely with students, parents/guardians, and school staff to address attendance issues and provide support where needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and generate reports as required.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community organisations to support students with attendance challenges.
  • Conduct home visits and meetings with parents/guardians to discuss attendance concerns and develop action plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to attendance management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of attendance monitoring systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutionfocused approach.
  • Empathy and understanding of the factors that may contribute to attendance issues among students.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
