How will I help?


The Westpac Special Projects Team is looking for a motivated Product Analyst to be a part of our Life Insurance Team.

We are looking for a Product Analyst who will use their skills for data and analysis to empower and enable our product team to be truly customer and data led.

You will have direct oversight of a portfolio of Life Insurance Products, where you will utilise your knowledge and skills to extract meaningful insights contributing to improved decision-making and outcomes to grow the Life Insurance Products and Business Partnership.


Reporting to the Service Owner Special Projects, you will need the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain strong relationships with key business partners both internal and external to Westpac.


  • Key responsibilities include: _
  • Establishing dashboards /standardised reports on product, Customer Lifestyle and Customer Segmentation
  • Supporting with the facilitation and coordination of activities between data platform, product teams and external business partners
  • Briefing business stakeholders, providing key insights and trends on weekly and monthly reporting
  • Producing key artefacts and papers to support the strategic alliance forums
  • Providing recommendations to internal business partners to assist them in achieving objectives
  • Contributing and leading key meetings with internal and external business partners on product performance and product activity
  • Responsible for proactively managing risk associated with the product

What do I need?
A passion to learn and grow, with strong problem-solving skills are required for this position. You'll be a natural communicator as well as an insightful, strategic thinker.

You will also be working with stakeholders at all levels across both Westpac and our strategic alliance partner TAL so the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes is paramount.


  • The following would be highly desirable: _
  • Experience in financial services
  • An understanding of wealth management and life insurance products
  • Experience using visualisation tools such as Tableau
  • High attention to detail, being organised and selfmotivated to drive outcomes
  • Desire to understand performance drivers with the analytical skills to break down large ambiguous problems into smaller, manageable tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to present to senior stakeholders and business partners
  • Ability to work with crossfunctional teams and manage multiple streams of work seamlessly
