Location - Parramatta and hybrid working from home

Employment type - Temporary Full Time Role up until 30 June 2024 (with possibility of extension)

Salary - ($116,211 pa - $128,061 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


The 9/10 Executive Officer provides a range of executive, secretariat, and project support services to the Executive including providing strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.


You will join a small inclusive team providing a range of high-level executive, secretariat, and business support services to the NSW Women's Safety Commissioner/Executive Director and Women, Family and Community Safety Executive team.

This includes providing strategic advice, coordinating communications and engagement and leading business support functions.

What you'll do


The Women, Family and Community Safety Directorate (
WFCS) leads the development, implementation and monitoring of domestic, family and sexual violence policies, programs and initiatives across the Department of Communities and Justice.

WFCS leads support for the NSW's Women Safety Commissioner and also delivers community safety programs across crime prevention, diversion and countering violent extremism.


What we're looking for

  • Advanced administrative experience within an executive context demonstrating capability within a fastpaced environment.
  • Know how to anticipate and address contentious issues and provide accurate advice on complex matters, often within tight timeframes, given the need to collect and assimilate information from a variety of different sources, whilst maintaining confidentiality and exercising diplomacy.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and varied stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently, show initiative and problem solve across a broad range of issues and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and highlevel consultation and negotiation skills.
