About the role:

The GM People, Technology, and Performance is a unique, newly created role reporting to the CEO and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Responsible for leading the company's culture, this role will foster a highly engaged and high-performing workforce. Driving digital innovation across the organisation and serving as a change agent to optimise business practices,


this role will deliver improvements in organisational performance and cultivate an environment that enables the successful delivery of their Port Vision 2050.


With a multifaceted approach this role will lead People & Culture, Technology and Transformation and Operational Excellence for the Ports of Townsville and Lucinda.

As an experienced and empathetic people leader, you bring high energy and a commitment to deliver outstanding results. You are a strategic thinker who is adept at aligning business strategy to deliver operational excellence.

With strengths in effecting and implementing change and transformation, you bring sophisticated experience partnering with executives to enable growing organisations.

The successful applicant will bring;

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, information technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in people management, technology leadership, and performance optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of human resources practices, talent management, and organisational development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing technology strategies and driving digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills with the ability to connect with all levels within an organisation.
