About the role


The Insurance Consultant - Acquisition & Retention role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of various customer led insurance initiatives that provide solutions and service outcomes to our customers that drive growth, retention and enhance customer experience.


This is a varied, flexible and interesting role that requires someone who is able to thrive in an unstructured work environment.

If you're passionate about customer service, can positively influence stakeholders to solve problems, are curious and self-motivated then this is the job for you.


Examples of initiatives that you could be working on include documenting insurance team processes, rolling out enhancements to insurance sales/support for Retail branches, helping to deliver sales campaigns and assisting with projects to enhance IT systems.

This is a Ongoing Full-Time Hybrid role with 2 days onsite based in either in
Bendigo or Metro Melbourne.

As an Insurance Consultant - Acquisition & Retention, you'll get to:

  • Coordinate the delivery of various customer led insurance initiatives that drive growth, retention and customer experience
  • Providing sales development support for insurance opportunities
  • Providing general insurance service to retail customers and other key customers
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders across Bendigo and the Insurance market
  • Providing phone based factual or general advice to clients, branches and branch support in all matters affecting their insurance needs

About You:

Ideally, you will have:

  • Literacy in technology and systems in current use in the Insurance industry
  • Time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Demonstrable high level of Professionalism, Customer Service skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Proven sales development and communication skills
  • Exposure/knowledge/experience of general insurance products (ideally underwriting or claims)
  • Someone that has experience delivering initiatives/process improvements (i.e. small projects)
  • Must be able to work autonomously, proactive selflearner
  • Ability to build close relationships with stakeholders/customers
