Marsh Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Senior Insurance Due Diligence Advisor to enhance our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) division.
PEMA Overview
Our PEMA team leverages Marsh's extensive global expertise to provide specialized services to the private equity, infrastructure, and alternative asset sectors, as well as corporate buyers. We engage with clients throughout the investment lifecycle, advising on risk management and insurance considerations from acquisition to exit, including the placement of portfolio-level insurance solutions. Our global team comprises over 150 professionals.
About The Role
In this role, you will spearhead Marsh's PEMA initiatives both internally and externally. Your responsibilities will include leading insurance due diligence projects for private equity, corporate, and financial institution clients, while coordinating the services of various Marsh divisions to deliver optimal solutions.
You will apply your insurance knowledge to guide clients in their acquisition, divestment, public-private partnerships, and project financing endeavors.
Core Responsibilities:
- Enhancing the Marsh brand presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets
- Preparing and presenting due diligence reports
- Coordinating services from other Marsh divisions
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Acting as a liaison with international PEMA professionals
- Building and maintaining relationships with private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions to generate future business opportunities
- Responding to requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Maintaining internal communication to stay informed about evolving risk and insurance market conditions
- Collaborating with internal Marsh divisions to implement insurance placements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in insurance brokerage and account management for corporate and/or global accounts
- Previous experience in a due diligence capacity or demonstrated experience with clients engaged in M&A within an insurance brokerage context, including FSRA Tier 1 compliance
- Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent data analysis, research, report writing, and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
