About the RoleAs an Assurance Management Lead in our Complaints, Remediation & Events Value Chain team, you'll play a key role in monitoring and advising in relation to Complaints, Remediation and Event Management. This role is specifically focusing on the events management and remediation uplift ASIC program. This role involves continuous touch points with the project team to assist in designing controls, reviewing uplifted process documentation as well as ASIC closure packs.
You will play an active role in driving improvement in risk capability/culture/awareness and promote Operational Risk Management across the business.

Role Type: 12 Months Fixed Term contract, full time role
Specific responsibilities Include:
Support the business to deliver the Events Management and Remediation Program activities in line with regulatory obligations and the I.AM framework (supported by actionable insights and opinions) including:
Adequacy of control environment to mitigate risks and meet policy requirement (individually and in aggregate) within Risk Appetite
Review the ASIC closure packs and provide feedback as needed
- Review documented processes and procedures
Appropriateness and effectiveness of tactical and strategic actions to address Risk response
Assessment of risk exposures and their incorporation in strategic planning discussions
Management assessment and response to Operational Risk Scenarios
- Adequacy of response to reportable events
Participate in Business and/or program forums such as steering committees, risk assessment workshops, to provide insight and advice, ensuring appropriate consideration of operational risk and compliance issues
Assist the broader team to understand the impact of the events management and remediation program on risk profiles, operational risk and compliance incidents, audit findings, customer complaints, control testing, etc. results to identify potential compliance insights/issues
Identification and analysis of risk data to support risk-based decision making and associated procedures and tools
What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience of developing and implementing a regulatory compliance and risk management strategy across multiple business units
- Analytical skills required to analyse Remediation, and event management risk and controls data from multiple sources to identify, assess and measure trends and patterns
- Experience of working within the Op Risk Framework, including detailed knowledge of Operational Risk Management Process
- Experience of working with external bodies relevant to relevant regulatory obligations(e.g., industry bodies)
- Proven ability to identify pragmatic solutions to managing risks, and then deliver against your risk management objectives
- Deep technical knowledge of risk and compliance regulation and frameworks
- Experience in managing designing and managing controls across the business
- Desire to create a thorough understanding of how our customers and bankers relate and react to embedding risk management in everyday activities
- Ability to look at things differently, challenge the status quo and innovate
- Proven ability to identify pragmatic solutions to managing risks, and then deliver against this
- Experience in risk management OR internal / external audit, coupled with significant banking & finance industry knowledge
- Experience in managing high performing teams within environments facing significant change and workload
