The position of Business Intelligence Lead offers a unique opportunity to inform Council's data utilisation and visualisation strategy and will lead a team in distilling a wide range of source data to produce insights and visualisations which inform service delivery.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Develop and deliver the Business Intelligence strategy and system in collaboration with management and the business that is scalable to meet business and community needs now and into the future
  • Develop a robust Data Modelling and Master Data Management approach aligned with Council's Enterprise Information Management Framework and Architecture
  • Lead the effective use of information, data and analytics, guiding the evolution of Council's capability to make data driven decisions
  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and data custodians, to benefit the organisation and support positive business outcomes.

_About You:

  • Ideally Degree qualified in Information Technology or a related field, you bring sound experience in the field of Business Intelligence and contemporary data analytics and visualisation solutions (experience in the use of BI tools such as Azure Data Lake and Power BI will be highly regarded)
  • You are a positive and motivating leader with a proven track record in fostering an environment of team input, collaboration and innovation
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, and engaging stakeholders and building sound business relationships is one of your strengths
  • You are results oriented, resilient and committed to service excellence.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $92.1k to $121.4k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
