About the role


As the Human Resources Officer, you will provide timely day-to-day administration, project based work and high-level advice on all HR related activities.

The role coordinates and administers approved HR policies and activities to ensure the availability and effective use of human resources across the organisation.

Furthermore, the role coordinates HR projects, supports the HR Business Partners and Head of HR, and is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the HRIS, Employment Hero.


What you'll do

  • Manage the entire onboarding process for new starters
  • Manage the entire offboarding process for employees exiting the business
  • Maintain and maximise the functionality of the HRIS (Employment Hero), including but not limited to; employment contract templates, HR document templates, monthly One to One review, VEVO/work right
checks, induction material, ongoing system updates, and primary point of contact

  • Ensure employee records are accurately maintained in Employment Hero
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to track employee movements and conditions of employment
  • Issue employment contracts and HR documents
  • Manage the maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Manage the HR service desk inbox
  • Ensure all activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards
  • Lead/support various administrative HR improvement projects
  • Map HR processes for efficiencies and develop various userguides
  • Conduct HRIS audit review of employee records and update accordingly
  • Lead HR policy and procedures audit review, ensuring they are uptodate and relevant

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent level of experience across required areas of expertise
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Employment Hero is advantageous
  • Excellent project planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive, professional and customerfocused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds
  • High level professional written and verbal communication
  • An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve common objectives
  • Takes the initiative to anticipate and resolve problems and develop effective working arrangements to maximise time effectiveness
  • A commitment to process improvement and seeking ways to streamline procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail in a highvolume, fastpaced environment
