Key Responsibilities:

In this diverse role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Reconciling cash, bank, and General Ledger accounts.
  • Processing fortnightly payroll and managing monthly superannuation payments.
  • Preparing quarterly Portable Long Service Leave and assisting with creditor payments and debtor invoicing.
  • Overseeing the production of monthly financial reports and managing traineeship claims.
  • Leading, developing, and supporting the Accounts Coordinator/Receivable Officer.
  • Assisting with WorkCover processes, annual financial audits, and compliance with financial statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timely execution of month-end procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and journal adjustments.
  • Providing advice and training on financial and payroll systems, and maintaining documented processes and procedures.
  • Collaborating with management to produce financial reporting outcomes and meet specific deadlines.
    Candidate Profile:

    The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Commerce.
    • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., GST, FBT).
    • Experience within the disability services sector (preferred).
    • Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing finance teams.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • A strong business acumen with the ability to manage conflicting demands and deliver high-quality outcomes within strict deadlines.
    • Advanced computing skills and experience with financial reporting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
    • Proven ability to maintain financial controls and ensure statutory compliance, especially within the not-for-profit sector.
