Your day at NTT DATA
The Business Intelligence engineeris a seasoned subject matter expert, tasked with participating in the transformation of data into insights that drive business value using data analytics, data visualization, and data modelling techniques and technologies.
This role is required to transform data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions and is also responsible for the establishment of system applications and/or tools that the company uses to record, organize, store, secure, and access data.
This role is required to have seasoned technical specialist proficiency in extracting and modelling data, generating data models, visual analytics and dashboards
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Work as team to deliver modern data solutions
- Implementation of modern data platforms
- Elicit and document business requirements
- Testing and defect resolution
- Production support
- Documentation
Conduct Data Engineering and Data Migration Activities
- Deliver tactical solutions as part of data platform build and data migration activities
- ETL builds
- Pipelines
- Azure components
Work with complex models and large volumes of data
- Build an understanding of data models of varying complexity across a range of industries
- Work with data models across different technology stacks
Develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models
- Build high quality Power BI Semantic models, including efficient data transformations in Power Query and SQL
- Design, develop and implement interactive and effective visualisations
Demonstrate consultative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative and conceptual thinking
- Understand and dynamically apply the data lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability as a team player
- Strong time management skills

- 3+ years working as a BI Engineer or technical BI Analyst
- Experience with some or all of the following tools
- Azure Data Components (ADF, SQL, Synapse, Fabric)
- Power BI
- Databricks
- MS BI Stack (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
- MS Power Apps
- Proficient understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts
- Perform and execute data analysis and data modelling
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical design
In addition to the above skills, we require the following:
- Australian Citizenship
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another quantitative field is preferred.
