Your day at NTT DATA

The Business Intelligence engineeris a seasoned subject matter expert, tasked with participating in the transformation of data into insights that drive business value using data analytics, data visualization, and data modelling techniques and technologies.

This role is required to transform data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions and is also responsible for the establishment of system applications and/or tools that the company uses to record, organize, store, secure, and access data.

This role is required to have seasoned technical specialist proficiency in extracting and modelling data, generating data models, visual analytics and dashboards

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

Work as team to deliver modern data solutions

Implementation of modern data platformsElicit and document business requirementsTesting and defect resolutionProduction supportDocumentation


Conduct Data Engineering and Data Migration Activities

Deliver tactical solutions as part of data platform build and data migration activitiesETL buildsPipelinesAzure components

Work with complex models and large volumes of data

Build an understanding of data models of varying complexity across a range of industriesWork with data models across different technology stacks

Develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models

Build high quality Power BI Semantic models, including efficient data transformations in Power Query and SQLDesign, develop and implement interactive and effective visualisations

Demonstrate consultative skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCreative and conceptual thinkingUnderstand and dynamically apply the data lifecycleDemonstrated ability as a team playerStrong time management skills

3+ years working as a BI Engineer or technical BI AnalystExperience with some or all of the following toolsAzure Data Components (ADF, SQL, Synapse, Fabric)Power BIDatabricksMS BI Stack (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)MS Power AppsProficient understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing conceptsPerform and execute data analysis and data modellingProven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical design

In addition to the above skills, we require the following:

Australian Citizenship

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another quantitative field is preferred.
