About the role 

  • Reporting to the Project Director, the Manager - Contracts, Procurement & Supply is responsible for the company contracts and procurement functions, including the development of a framework and relevant policies and procedures.
  • They are responsible to provide leadership across all tender and contractual matters ensuring they are properly negotiated, evaluated, documented and implemented. In addition, this position is responsible to provide support with the development and execution of category strategies and procurement plans including drafting contracts, procurement policies and procedural documents.


Responsibilities 

  • Develop Budget and oversee budget monitoring and compliance.
  • Work closely with finance team conducting evaluation and review on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer, contractor, supplier and stakeholder partnerships to support the objectives across contract and project deliverables and to resolve specific project problems.
  • Be aware of market conditions and inform bidders and contractors where necessary for the overall delivery of project requirements.

Experience/Requirements 

  • University degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum of ten years experience in a similar contract management position;
  • Manual C Class Driver’s License;
  • Broad experience in the formation, negotiation, award and administration of complex contract design and construct of construction contracts for major projects.
  • Experience in developing complex contract types, remuneration models, incentive regimes, terms and conditions.
  • Experience implementing, leading and developing a Contracts team.
  • The ability to establish a best practice contract management framework and systems.
  • Experience managing complex contracts in a project environment.
  • Experience developing negotiation strategies and negotiating complex contracts.
  • High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
