Seeking a Procurement and Contract Manager to join a state government department in East Perth
**Your new company**
A state government department based in East Perth, are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join a busy team. In this role you will be required to work full-time hours, with flexible work arrangements on offer. This position would be offered on an initial temporary engagement, with a possible extension on offer.
**Your new role**
As the Procurement and Contract Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support around ICT service contracts, managing procurement risks and general contract terms
- Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on the program's procurement and contracting as needed
- Facilitating, developing and managing complex and / or high-risk ICT procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation
- Developing and reviewing procurement documents and submissions
- Contributing to change management projects related to ICT
- Providing proactive and timely advice to stakeholders on procurement and contract management matters
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered, you will have previous experience working in a government procurement position, in addition to:
- A confident understanding on government procurement policies and frameworks
- Previous experience in managing ICT contracts (desirable)
- Advanced written communication skills with experience in preparing procurement documentation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to negotiate and consult with key stakeholders
