Seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to join a State Government team ASAP

**Your new company**

A State Government team based East of Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to oversee a major upcoming Procurement project. This role will require you to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, with flexible work arrangements on offer. This department is based in an Eastern Suburb location with parking available on site.

**Your new role**

As the Procurement and Contracts Specialist you will be responsible for leading an upcoming procurement project within the department, managing high value and high risk procurement processes and contracts. Your duties will include:

- Proactively manage contract renewals, closures and extensions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers around key performance indicators, service level agreements and contract outcomes
- Support the development of procurement processes, ensuring that government structure and compliance is followed
- Contribute towards project and program planning, assisting with resourcing and scheduling
- Contribute towards leading and managing a small team, supporting with training and performance management requirements as needed

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will display:

- Previous experience working within a Procurement and Contract Management / Specialist position
- Previous experience working within the Public Sector, particularly within State Government
- Advanced and professional communication skills with confidence in delivering advice around procurement processes and managing contract negotiations
- Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
