Are you ready to be part of a thriving business? Brooks Hire, a national company serving the civil and mining industries for over 45 years, is expanding, and we want you to join us. We are currently seeking a dedicated Detailer/ Yard Person to join our dynamic team at our Port Hedland branch.

Please note only local based applicants will be considered.

Position: Detailer/Yard Person

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Detail and clean earthmoving equipment to meet required standards within tight schedules
  • • Maintenance and assembly of equipment
  • • Perform general yard and housekeeping duties
  • • Move and arrange stock around the Workshop
  • • Identify and communicate any equipment issues to your supervisor
  • • Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order
  • • Assist tradesmen with various tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • • Valid Driver's License
  • • Willingness to occasionally work weekends and flexible hours
  • • Previous detailing experience preferred but not essential
  • • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations
  • • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
  • • Ability to pass a Medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test
  • • Previous experience working around heavy duty equipment
  • • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
  • • Forklift / High risk work licenses desirable
