About the role:

As the IT Testing Analyst, the purpose of this position is to orchestrate the planning, execution, and management of all testing activities within our organisation's IT projects.

Reporting directly to the Enterprise Applications Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and exceed user expectations.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, strategies, and schedules for IT projects and application upgrades, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and stakeholders, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support the implementation and use of automated testing; developing and maintaining a suite of automated tests to support regression testing.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to define testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
  • Communication and collaboration with developers and vendors to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues identified during testing.
  • Manage testing environments, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of test tools, test data, and test environments.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and work with automation engineers to develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and optimise future testing efforts.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, with a proven track record of planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities for IT projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • Proficiency in software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Understanding of different types of testing, including unit, performance, functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems. ServiceNow experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tool. Experience in implementing test automation strategies would be preferred.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience in leading and managing testing efforts across multiple projects simultaneously, including coordinating resources, schedules, and priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems, including creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
