About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Dennis Family Corporation. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, driving the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Requirements Analysis: Facilitate requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of business processes, needs, and objectives.
  • Requirements Documentation: Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and other documentation for IT development teams.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze and prioritize business requirements, considering factors such as feasibility, impact, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current state and desired future state, proposing solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Solution Alignment: Work closely with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions align with architectural guidelines, technical constraints, security, and data privacy standards, and industry best practices.
  • Testing and Validation: Support the testing and validation of IT solutions, including assisting with test case development, test execution, and defect resolution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts as needed.
Requirements
  • Business Analysis Knowledge: Understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., BABOK).
  • Software Development Knowledge: Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in IT business analyst roles, with a proven track record of simultaneously working on activities for IT projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • Requirements Management: Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.
  • Requirements Management Tools: Hands-on experience with requirements management tools and software. ServiceNow experience would be highly regarded.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically about business challenges and opportunities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
