Security Analyst

**The opportunity**
The ICT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting and enhancing the organisations information systems by identifying and mitigating security risks as well as collaboratively working with the ICT team on the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions.
- Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture, under the direction of the Cyber & Information Security Manager, where appropriate.
- Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under the direction of the Cyber & Information Security Manager, where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the ICT Security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
- Monitor SIEM, logs and reports.
- Participate in security incident investigations and responses.
- Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Provide support to Service Desk for end user for security solutions.
- Direct & monitor the effectiveness of security awareness training.
- Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines.
**About you**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICT Infrastructure (3 years’ experience in ICT Security).
- University degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Experience with Fortinet Firewalls & other security solutions.
- Strong understanding of computer networking & cloud technologies.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.
- Highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
- Be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.
